Wolf Creek Resort garners attention from Audubon Ogden Standard Examiner Top of Utah golfers know it can be tough to get a tee time at the challenging Wolf Creek Resort and Club golf course, but the local wildlife always gets to play on. Audubon International recently designated the golf course at Wolf Creek Resort The group lauded Wolf Creek for enhancing wildlife habitat, protecting water quality and conserving resources. It is one of 647 sanctuary courses in the world. Wolf Creek superintendent Monica Fuit said Wolf Creek went through the lengthy process because of its beautiful setting in the Ogden Valley, to help change public perception about golf course waste, and for the simple enjoyment of watching wildlife reappear on the course. Fuit and Wolf managing member Rob Thomas developed the site assessment and environmental plan. They then created a drought tolerant wildlife area on the course, established no-spray zones, inventoried existing birds and set up nest boxes for song birds.
