ROB THOMAS OF WOLF CREEK RESORT AWARDED
UTAH SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR

(Eden, Utah) Rob Thomas, Director of Golf for Wolf Creek Resort has just been awarded “Superintendent of the Year for 2005 - 2006,” in the Private/Resort Category. This prestigious award comes from the Utah Section PGA Awards Committee, and is given to the superintendent who has best demonstrated professional skills and knowledge in the maintenance and development of their facilities. Candidates are nominated from their peers in the industry.
Rob had tough competition amongst approximately 110 Superintendents throughout Utah. Some of Rob’s qualities that were noted for the selection were: easy to work with during events, keeping a golf course in great shape during an event with a lot of play, and the ability to take a golf course and improve it continually. He will be honored in the September Utah Section Newsletter, at the Fall Pro-Sponsor Appreciation Event, the Annual Awards Banquet in February of 2006, and in the 2006 Utah Section Book of Golf.
Rob has been the Superintendent of Golf for Wolf Creek for the past 15 years, and was recently promoted to Director of Golf. He has overseen significant improvements to the golf course and related facilities such as Clubhouse and cart storage. Wolf Creek was the proud host of the 2005 Utah Amateur.
Rob also oversees all water and sewer issues and many of the ongoing development projects at the resort, as well as overseeing many of the infrastructure issues relating to Wolf Creek's recent acquisition of Wolf Mountain (formerly Nordic Valley Ski Area.)
Steve Roberts, Managing Member of Wolf Creek Properties commented: “ There is no one more deserving of this recognition than Rob. His dedication is apparent in all that he does, and I am thrilled his peers have recognized what I have always known!”
